POLICE COMMEMORATES CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK IN NIGER STATE

Niger State Police Command has commemorated the Customer Service Week 2026, themed “Going the Extra Mile,” with a street sensitization and public awareness campaign at major traffic hubs within the metropolis.

The initiative was aimed at promoting improved service delivery and strengthening police-community relations, in compliance with the given directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

According to a statement issued by the command Police Public Relations Officer PPRO SP Wasiu the exercise reaffirms the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

He said this is to ensure accessible, responsive and quality policing services while upholding professionalism, discipline, dedication and integrity in the discharge of its duties.

During the campaign, Police personnel engaged residents, motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and other road users on ways to improve service delivery and public access to policing services.

 Information leaflets containing contact details of Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the state.were distributed to facilitate prompt reporting, communication and timely intervention during emergencies. Safety guidelines for parents and children, particularly in view of the resumption of school activities, were also disseminated to promote public awareness and child safety.

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, appreciates all residents for their cooperation, timely provision of credible information, law-abiding conduct and continued support for the Command’s policing efforts.

He urges all Nigerlites to sustain their partnership with the Police, emphasizing that public cooperation remains vital for effective policing and creation of a safer society.

Taking into cognizance of the theme, the Niger State Police Command reiterates its commitment to going the extra mile in service delivery by strengthening public trust and confidence through responsive policing, accountability, transparency, integrity and strict adherence to relevant laws in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.
