Suspected Miners Killed Immigration officer, Injured Other in Borgu Local Gov’t

A Nigeria Immigration officer identified as Usman has been killed and the corpse burnt while the other was injured by some alleged miners in Wawa community in Borgu Local Government of Niger state.

Reports revealed the incident occurred on Tuesday last week during their surveillance, noted that the immigration officers were two both serving with the local government in New Bussa.

When contacted, the Niger State office of Nigeria Immigration Service confirmed the incident in Minna, said they were attacked while one was killed the second officer was matched but managed to diver into a river and escaped

The command although refused to give details about the circumstances leading to the killing of the said Immigration officer.
