N-HYPPADEC Technical Team Inspects Bida Works Transformer Site Under Rehabilitation

The National Hydro-electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) technical team has carried out an inspection visit to Bida water works for on the spot assessment.
It is aimed to confirm the compatibility and the synchronIzation of the existing 5MVA transformer with the 1MVA and 2MVA transformers that are currently on rehabilitation to boost power supply to the Bida water works in Niger State.
This is sequel to the approval by the commission management for the rehabilitation of transformers to boost power supply to Bida Water works.
According to the team from the Directorate of Engineering and Technical Services that conducted the physical inspection include the team lead and Head of Division Engineering, Engr Ibrahim Haruna Adamu, head of unit Electrical, Engr Rahina Doma and the contractor and his technical team.
The team concluded their confirmation that the combination of the 1MVA and 2MVA synchronized with the 5MVA will provide the sufficient energy needed to power the water works.
It could be recalled that the Commission recently installed the 5MVA transformer to enable the take off of the treatment activity at the water works.
