On Mass Exudos that Hits Niger State All Progressives Congress as Former Appointees Some Current Lawmakers Plan Defection & Negative Effect on the Outcome of 2027 General Elections in the State.

Emerging confusion has broken out within the Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC as several former Commissioners, Ex-Special Advisers, and some serving lawmakers are reportedly preparing to leave the ruling party described as a monumental political calamity on the APC in the state.

This is coming amidst the unfolding situation which was majorly caused by the leadership incompetence and failure, power drunk, outcome of the controversial APC consensus primaries, and undermining of the major stakeholders who have been purportedly marginalized completely from the party decision processes.

Reports revealed that the ongoing consultations among the key aggrieved stakeholders had recently intensified over the outcome of the party’s internal processes and the governor’s public utterances, threatening aggrieved members with probe of those former government officials to undust their files on his table.

Sources said that those involved were former commissioners and Special Advisers to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and many appointees who served under former Governor’s especially Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, some serving members of the Niger State House of Assembly who lost the party’s tickets as well as several numbers of the grassroot mobilisers in the state.

Similarly, the Muslim- Muslim 2027 Governorship ticket has also contributed to another division in the party as a group of Coalition of Concern Christian Stakeholders in Niger State have rejected such while advocating for fair and equal representation of christain as deputy governor.

The group Secretary, Comrade Jude Johnson recently in Minna, insisted in their demand for christain deputy governor for the next general elections under the platform of the ruling APC and threatened to opt for an alternative where their interest will be protected.

The group revealed that they vehemently rejected the continuous Muslim-Muslim governorship ticket considering their contributions, dedication and population in the state.

Already, Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has sealed the agitation by swiftly announcing Comrade Yakubu Garba as his running mate for the second term in office under the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC come 2027 general elections. Urging the agitators to embrace peace, unity and peaceful coexistence in the state to enhance development.

Notwithstanding, the Niger Rescue Movement Political Family has resolved to formally align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections in Niger State.

The chairman of the movement, Honourable Mikail El-Amin Bmitosahi in a press briefing said that the decision was not made in haste but after intensive consultations with some state elders which is in the interest of the people of Niger State and Nigeria at large.

According to him, “2027 is about the future of our children. Let us build it together under ADC., calling on all members of NRM, supporters, and all well-meaning citizens of Niger State to join us in this movement.

Mikail Bmitosahi who is a former Chief of Staff and N-HYPPADEC board member insisted that Niger State  people deserve security, jobs, quality education, quality healthcare delivery, portable water, and good roads. Believing that the ADC is the credible platform as the best opportunity to drive that agenda for Nigerlites.

He reassured to assiduously mobilize all structures of NRM across the 25 LGAs to work for ADC’s victory and will not engage in politics of bitterness but to embarked on campaign of solutions for Niger State. While urging members to take the message to every ward, every village, every polling unit and local government areas of the state.

Niger Rescue Movement further revealed that they have watched ADC positioned itself as a credible platform for new thinking, for internal democracy, and for giving Nigerians especially the youth a real voice in 2027, having membership across all the political parties in the state

Consequently, looking at the danger ahead the group consisted of former commissioners, Special Advisers, various political appointees and All Progressives Congress APC members and the former party stakeholders including other political party members were members of the Rescue Movement with the interest basically to save Niger state from misrule, maladministration,  deep corruption, favouritism, insecurity, and incompetent leadership perpetrated by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration.

According to sources, the planned development would “shake the very foundation of the All Progressives Congress APC” in Niger State and demonstrate that “politics belongs to the people, not to a single individual.”

“The aggrieved stakeholders are determined to prove that no individual has a monopoly over the political future of the state,”

The coalition according to sources had been engaging influential political stakeholders and grassroots structures across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state, while expressing confidence that the movement would surely get the sympathy of significant supporters once it’s officially unveiled soon.

Apprently, the Niger State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Ibrahim Kuta, has challenged her husband, Mamman Musa Bosso who is part of the Rescue Movement and other politicians who had left the APC to accept the outcome and embrace fate.

She said they should exercise patience, just as others did during the previous administration when many others too endured despite been sidelined throughout the entire eight-years tenure of former governor Abubakar Sani Bello to ensure peace, stability and to enhance development of the entire Niger state as being witnessed in the last three years of the present administration of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.

Moreso, the state political observers

explained that such recent development could reshape the political history in Niger State ahead of the 2027 general elections, sequel to the prominent individuals, groups, and Nigerlites involved in the struggle for the entrenchment of incompetent government in Niger state.

Not withstanding, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has swiftly held a special session with APC candidates and aspirants that lost in the last ruling party primary elections held across the State.

The meeting was convened to strengthen unity among party members and strategize on how best to ensure victory for all APC candidates in twenty-twenty-seven general elections.

The governor used the forum to call on all candidates and aspirants to remain committed to the collective vision of the APC and the Renewed Hope aygenda of the President as well as his New Niger Agenda of the State.

Governor Umaru Bago stressed on party faithfuls to remain loyal to the party and remain united to achieve a common purpose as it is imperative for every APC member to ensure the party’s success and continue to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Niger State.

The forum afforded opportunity for APC party members in the State to deliberate on key issues and offered suggestions and recommendations where necessary but can this special session reverse the trends.

Unfortunately, the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Niger state led by Musa Bobi has no voice in taking any decision on it own as confirmed by its leadership in different fora that the governor is their leader and anything he says is what they will build. Therefore, they are just a puppet who have no powers to operate independently which further created a huge set back to the party in the state.

Following the analysis as planned, if the said defections eventually materialized as planned, they could have far-reaching consequences for the ruling APC’s internal cohesion and electoral strategy as the state is making effort towards a historic moment of a single term tenure of a sitting governor in Niger state ahead of 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
