The Chief Servant and former Governor, Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has expressed profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss over the death of Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, former Governor of Delta State, who departed this world on 19 October, 2027.
Talban Minna described the death of Dr. Uduaghan is a painful loss not only to his immediate family, the government and people of Delta State, but also to the entire Nigerian nation, which benefited from his years of public service and contributions to national development.
As Governor of Delta State from 2007 to 2015, Dr. Uduaghan occupied a significant place in the political and administrative history of the state. His years in office represented an important chapter in Delta State’s governance, and his contributions to public administration and the development of his people will remain part of his legacy.
Beyond the political office he held, his passing reminds us of the transient nature of life and the enduring responsibility of leadership to serve humanity with commitment, wisdom, and a sense of purpose. His departure is a moment for reflection on the sacrifices, challenges, and responsibilities that accompany public service.
Dr Mua’azu Babangida Aliyu on behalf of his family and associates, extended his heartfelt condolences to the Uduaghan family, the Government and people of Delta State, his political associates, friends, and all Nigerians who mourn this painful loss.
“At this difficult moment, I pray that Almighty God will grant the immediate family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May He comfort the people of Delta State, console all those affected by his passing, and grant the departed former Governor eternal rest.”
“Though death brings an end to life’s earthly journey, the memories of a life dedicated to public service endure in the hearts of those whose lives were touched by it.”
He prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest and give his family, Delta State, and the entire nation the grace to bear this great loss.
