The Niger State Organised Labour Movement  has congratulated its state chairman, Comrade Ambassador Idrees Abdulkareem Lafene, and two other labour leaders on their appointments into the Niger State Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.

The appointments, as announced by Governor Mohammed Bago, assigned Lafene as Director of Labour Matters, Comrade Abdullah Abubakar Erena as Deputy Director of Labour Matters, and Comrade Usman Abubakar Dabban as Secretary of Labour Matters.

In a congratulatory statement signed by Muhammad Ndanusa Isako, popularly known as Ambassador Peacemaker, Media Aide to the Niger State Organised Labour Leader, the movement described the appointments as an opportunity to strengthen labour representation and promote workers’ interests within the campaign council.

The statement said the appointments reflected the labour leaders’ leadership experience, political relevance and commitment to workers’ welfare and the development of Niger State.
It added that their inclusion in the council would provide a platform for them to mobilise support and advance the aspirations of workers and other citizens in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Bago’s New Niger Agenda.

The movement expressed confidence that the appointees would bring their experience and grassroots connections to bear on their respective responsibilities.

It also called for greater unity and cooperation in pursuing the development of Niger State and the country. The statement reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to the role of labour as a partner in development.
