Niger: 1,000 PDP Members including Excos Dumps PDP for ADC in Bosso LG

No fewer than one thousand members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) including local and state executives have dumped the party for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State.
The PDP Chairman of Bosso local government, Sani Abdullahi aka GTZ who also decamped with the group made this known while speaking to journalists in Minna, said that they officially dumped the party at an event in Makunkele headquarters of Bosso local council.
He stated that his resignation was due to the failure of the APC led administration and the inability of the PDP to form a formidable team, however called for coalition with the other opposition political parties to unseat the ruling APC in the state and the country.
Sani Abdullahi who also contested for the position of council chairmanship in the last local government election,
added that he decamped alongside the State Assistant PRO Mohammed Maji, nine out of ten PDP councillorship candidates in the last concluded council elections including ward Chairmen and Excos as well as some key stakeholders of the party.
The former party chairman emphasized on the need to come together by the opposition political parties to form a formidable team in order to rustle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress APC’s misrule and maladministration.
He lamented over the persistent insecurity bedeviling the state and Nigeria and the absolute failure of the governments to provide the required education, agriculture inputs, end mass poverty despite increased revenue acrue to the nation, saying that the APC has failed at all levels to proffer solutions to the current challenges facing the country.
The PDP stalwart charged on the Nigerlites and Nigerians to come together to rescue and safe the state and Nigeria from the current dendrum of incompetent, selfishness and wickedness of the leadership.
