Niger ADC Reassures Preparedness to Take Over Power from the APC in 2027

Niger state chapter of the African Democratic Congress ADC has reiterated its unwavering commitment and readiness to ensure the party rustle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress APC at the state and national levels during next general elections.

The state party chairman, Ahmed El-Waziri gave the assurance while addressing journalists during a critical stakeholders meeting in Minna, saying that the ADC is the only alternative and formidable political party for Nigerians to entrenched the current misrule administration in the country.

He emphasized that the party is united and have no unresolved crisis hence the need to ensure they goes into the 2027 general elections as a united front in order to seize power from the All Progressives Congress APC especially in Niger state.

According to him, “we are confident with the growing popularity and acceptance of the ADC across the state and the country, despite the fact that there is a sitting government, this has unsettled the ruling party, resulting in what i described as attempts to weaken the opposition” he stated.

El-Waziri stressed that, like other political parties in the country, the ADC has its internal challenges but maintained that such issues are being effectively tackled accordingly, adding that they are focused and fully ready as the party’s acceptance has strengthened them ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He accused the ruling party of interfering in opposition politics through what he described as “hanky-panky,” alleging that conflicting court rulings in political cases raise concerns about the independence of parts of the judiciary in the country.

The ADC chairman accused the judiciary of been partisanship while claiming that some judicial decisions were contradictory, citing examples where lower courts allegedly issued rulings despite decisions of higher courts.

He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to providing credible leadership and positioning itself as a viable alternative will embarked on issues based campaign about the actual situations on ground for people to see ahead of the 2027 polls.

Ahmed El-Waziri maintained that the court has declared David Mark and Aregbesola led National leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC),
without objections hence the All Progressives Congress APC jittery and direct attacks on the party structures at both states and federal levels.
