NIGER CP RECEIVES COMMANDER NAVAL BASE KAINJI, FERMA ON VISITS
REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INTER-AGENCY SYNERGY

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has received the Commander, Naval Base Kainji, Nigerian Navy, Captain I. O. Odache and his entourage on a courtesy visit to the State Police Command.
In his remarks, Captain Odache (NN) appreciated the Commissioner of Police and the Command’s management team for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.
He expressed delight at the opportunity to finally visit the Command and conveyed the goodwill and warm regards of the Chief of the Naval Staff.
The Naval Commander stated that the visit was primarily aimed at familiarizing himself with the leadership of the Niger State Police Command and further strengthening the existing relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly along the Kainji axis.
He commended the Police personnel serving in New-Bussa, Wawa and particularly the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and Area Intelligence Officer (AIO), for their professionalism, cooperation and commendable contributions to security in the area.
He noted that the prevailing security challenges require stronger inter-agency cooperation, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations.
In his response, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, mnips, warmly welcomed the Naval Commander and his entourage to the Command.
He expressed appreciation for the visit and commended Captain Odache for his professionalism and gallantry, noting that their previous interactions had further demonstrated his commitment to duty and national security.
The CP assured the Commander of the maximum support and cooperation of the Niger State Police Command, particularly in strengthening intelligence sharing, operational coordination and collaboration between the two agencies.
Elleman expressed confidence that the strengthened partnership would contribute significantly to enhancing public safety, preventing crime and sustaining peace across the State. He appreciated the Commander and his entourage for the visit and wished them a safe journey back to their destination.

Similarly, the Niger State Police Commissioner CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, also received the management team of Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Field Headquarters, Minna, Niger State led by Engr. Efobi Paul on a courtesy visit to the State Police Command Headquarters, Dutsen-kura, Minna on 1st September, 2026
In his remarks, Engr. Efobi Paul stated that the essence of the visit was to familiarize and establish a working relationship with the Police and enhance effective collaboration in the discharge of FERMA’s mandate across the State.
He further sought the professional guidance and security assessment of the Police regarding road maintenance activities being undertaken by contractors, particularly in identifying areas considered relatively safe for their operations.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police welcomed Engr. Paul and congratulated him on his assumption of duty as the Principal Officer of FERMA in the State. He assured the agency of the unwavering support, cooperation and assistance of the Niger State Police Command in the discharge of their official responsibilities.
He further assured FERMA of the Command’s readiness to facilitate reliable security information and appropriate security coverage for road maintenance contractors, where necessary to enable them carry out their assignments safely and effectively. He urged the agency to regard the Police Command as a dependable partner and always seek assistance, professional advice and relevant security information whenever required.
Engr. Efobi Paul emphasised that sustained collaboration between government agencies remains essential to ensuring the safety of personnel, contractors and critical infrastructure across the State.
