Group Applauds Nomination of Niger Ambassadorial Nominee, Ndanusa

The nomination of the Niger state Non-Career Ambassador/High
Commissioner, ambassadorial nominee
Engineer Sani Ndanusa by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as fitting a recognition of service and loyalty,
experience and political commitment.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Engr. Sani Ndanusa Support Group (ESSG) signed by Engineer Abubakar Ndaman made available to journalists in Minna Niger state capital.
According to him, “Engr. Ndanusa comes to this responsibility with a distinguished record of public service. He served as General Manager, Permanent Secretary, Commissioner and, ultimately, Minister of Sports at the federal level. His leadership also extended beyond government to sports administration, where he served as President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation and Vice-
President of the Confederation of African Tennis, among other national and international responsibilities”.
Abubakar Ndaman stated that this development has renewed confidence and significantly reshaped their political calculations and strategic outlook towards the 2027 electoral season. Adding that the group received with profound satisfaction by his supporters, associates and political family across Niger State and beyond.
He stressed that the nominee’s political reach was further acknowledged at the national level when the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council appointed him Director of Contact and Mobilisation for the North-Central. The official Presidential Campaign Council records confirm his leadership of that directorate.
According to the Support Group, it was in recognition of that influence that leading APC stakeholders engaged him in consultations and encouraged him to join the party which he eventually left the PDP and joined the APC in 2018, a development publicly described at the
time as a major addition to the party in Niger State.
Engr. Sani Mohammed Ndanusa, is also the Marafan Nupe sought the APC governorship ticket in 2022. But after the primary election that produced Mohammed Umaru Bago, he remained steadfast within the party and continued to work closely with other leaders and stakeholders towards strengthening, consolidating and uplifting the APC in Niger State in every ramification.
The Support Group further commended Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for his goodwill, strategic engagement and constructive support towards Engr. Sani Ndanusa. Especially, the maturity and cooperation demonstrated in sustaining political harmony and in
complementing the broader efforts that surrounded this important national nomination.
The group extended its appreciation to the Senators representing Niger State and to members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs entrusted with the constitutional responsibility of screening and considering the nomination.
