Government House Retired Permanent Secretary Urges to Vacate Office

By YM Bina
Concern Nigerlites and civil servants in Niger state has called on the government house retired Permanent Secretary Hajiya Hawa Wali to vacate her office for justice and fairness in line with the civil service rules.
They raised the concern while speaking to our Reporter in Minna, saying that the said Permanent Secretary had retired on twentieth March, twenty twenty six and supposed to leave office for a new person to take over the activities but still coming to the office at government house Minna.
According to reports, Hajiya Hawa Wali’s refusal to leave office after her retirement violates the civil service rules and the constitution of Nigeria as amended.
It was gathered that the Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has reportedly approved her illegal extension for another six months which actually contradict the provision of the service regulations which according to concern citizens should be resisted in all ramifications.
They have called on the leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC Niger State chapter led by Comrade Abdulkareem Lafene and other relevant authorities to urgently intervene in the matter to ensure justice and fairness in the civil service system in the state.
Sources revealed that her stay despite being a retired civil servant which contravene the legal provision has been master minded be her benefactors in government at the detriment of the system.
All efforts to get the response of the alleged Permanent Secretary Hajiya Hawa Wali when contacted proved abortive as calls and text messages put through her phone number were not responded to as at the time of filing this report.
