Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna has passed a vote of no confidence in the Pro-Chancellor Doctor Mohammed Kudu Santuraki for failing to adequately defend the interests of the University.
The resolution was reached at its Senate 518th meeting that deliberated extensively on the issues bordering on the claim of ownership of the Bosso Campus between the Federal University of Technology, Minna and the Niger State Government.
According to reports received, the University Senate passed a vote of confidence in the Vice-Chancellor for his maturity and leadership in handling the situation.
According to findings, the Senate further resolved that the Bosso Campus should neither be ceded to the Niger State Government nor co-shared with the College of Medical Sciences of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai.
This followed the crisis and disharmony between the management of the Federal University of Technology FUT Minna and the Niger state government over the state government plan to take over parts of the University facilities for the IBBU Lapai medical students at the Bosso Campus of the institution in Minna which was resisted by the management.
