Niger North ZONE C Endorses President Tinubu, Governor Bago for 2027 Polls

The eight local government areas chairmen of Niger North Senatorial District (Zone C) has endorsed the candidatures of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Mohammed Umar Bago for Twenty Twenty Seven general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Chairmen led by that of the Mashegu local government, Alhaji Umar Jibrin Igade made this known while briefing newsmen after their meeting together with their vice chairmen in Minna, saying that the endorsement was not induced but the decision was whole heartedly with the approval of their grassroot stakeholders consisting of youths, women, and elders.
According to Umar Igade, governor Mohammed Umar Bago deserves the commendation of Nigerlites for the massive infrastructural development experienced especially the tremendous facelift of Minna city in all spheres of endeavors.
The local governments involved in the endorsement include: Kontagora, Mariga, Magama, Rijau, Borgu, Agwara, Wushishi, and Mashegu consisting of the entire Zone C, while assuring to deliver for the ruling APC in the next polls from the zone.
Umar Jibrin Igade further called on what he described as the few opposition political parties to also adopt their APC candidates for the forthcoming elections to sustain the development and growth witnessed within the administration’s of governor Mohammed Umar Bago and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the country.
He reiterated the unwavering commitment and support of the present All Progressives Congress APC led government in enhancing peace, security and stability for the overall development of Nigeria. Calling for patience and support of the electorates to achieve development as the endorsement is expected to gather more support for the party.
Mashegu local government chairman revealed that under the leadership of governor Mohammed Umar Bago the grassroot has witnessed tremendous developmental strides in terms or road network of five kilometers from each of the 25 local government councils and other infrastructural development can not be ignored.
Igade stressed that the achievements were recorded within the period under review because the federal government released enough funds to States to ensure the implementation of various projects at the States and local government levels which he described as commendable.
While responding to security situation from the zone, Umar Igade explained that the situation is better compared to the past but still needed to do more improving security in Agwara, Borgu, Mariga and Magam due to the financial and logistical support as well as trying his possible best to ensure progress of the rural dwellers.
On the local government financial autonomy, the chairman who advocates for the concealation of joint account,
noted that the implementation is ongoing in Niger state as the councils have already opened their accounts with the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN to ensure direct disbursement of their funds to them accordingly.
He stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress APC is the party to beat come 2027 general elections with the 32 governors in the APC and the 25 local government areas of Niger state in the party victory is undoubtedly assured for the party.
