The people of Gwandu, Jega, and Aliero Local Government Areas of Kebbi State have paid a condolence visit to the Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris over the demise of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman-Zuru.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Governor of Kebbi State Chief Press Secretary CPS Ahmed Idris in Birinin Kebbi.
He said the visit was led by Hon. Mansur Issa Dan-Jami’a Jega, member representing Jega, Gwandu, Aliero Federal Constituency, was attended by a large crowd of constituents at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
The leader of the delegation and lawmaker described the late Speaker as a man of integrity, honesty, humility, and a trusted leader whose legacies would not be easily forgotten.
He observed that the death of the late Usman-Zuru was not a loss to his immediate family, Zuru Emirate, and Zuru people alone, but it was a loss to the entire people of Kebbi State and Nigeria.
The legislator prayed to Almighty Allah to accept the good deeds of the deceased, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
Dan-Jami’a Jega urged the governor, his immediate family members, Kebbi State House of Assembly, and Zuru Emirate to take heart, adding that no soul would live beyond its predestined appointed time by God Almighty.
It could be recalled that the late speaker died on Monday night while receiving treatment in a hospital in Egypt.
Responding, the Kebbi State Governor appreciated the federal lawmaker and his people for their concern, condolence visit, and show of solidarity.
He said the demise of the late Usman-Zuru had created a huge vacuum that could be very difficult to fill.
Gov. Idris prayed to Almighty God to console the family and give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He then prayed to Almighty God to reward them abundantly.
