Private Security Guard Kidnaps Employer’s Two Children in Minna

As private security guard of a Minna resident simply identified as Alhaji Danjuma has disappeared with his employee’s two male children Umar and Anas both six years old to unknown destination.

The incident occurred around brighter area of Minna last Sunday afternoon  after the father who is a businessman could not found his children further discovered that the security man disappeared too.

Reports revealed that the security employee was away from home on Sunday afternoon, his security guard Sani Abdulrahman who is a fulani man allegedly took the children out for Eid celebration on a motorcycle that he bought for him.

Following the uncertainty about their return the family started searching for them and had visited all the hospitals in Minna metropolis suspecting that they might be involved in an accident. But it turned out they are in the hands of suspected kidnappers.

Revealing the incident, Ahaji Danjuma stated that later that evening, some people called him who said they are in Erena forest in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, saying he should bring money (ransom) for his children who are in their custody to be released.

The security employee have called on the state government and the security agencies to assist in ensuring the safe release of his two children. While he further appealed to the general public to join him in prayers for ensuring safe return of his children.

When contacted, the Niger State Command Police Public Relations Officer PPRO SP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident that occurred about one o’clock on Sunday 31st May 2026.
