Gov Yusuf Flags Off APC e-Registration In Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise in the state, describing it as a major step towards strengthening internal democracy and expanding the party’s membership base.

Naija News reports that the inauguration followed the governor’s return to the APC on Monday, according to a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano on Tuesday.

Speaking at the inauguration, Yusuf said the e-registration initiative was designed to modernise the party’s administrative processes and ensure the credibility of its membership records.

He described the exercise as transparent, inclusive and technology-driven, noting that it would help the party build a reliable and verifiable database of members across the state.

The governor urged party members and supporters to fully participate in the registration exercise, saying it would enhance trust and accountability within the party.

Yusuf commended the APC leadership for embracing digital tools to manage party affairs, describing the move as timely and in line with global best practices in political organisation.

According to him, the adoption of technology would not only improve efficiency but also promote fairness in party activities, including congresses and primaries.

The statement explained that the e-registration would be conducted across all wards in Kano State, providing a seamless platform for both new and existing members to register and update their personal details.

It added that the initiative was expected to significantly boost participation and strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of future political engagements.
