Kebbi Governor Approves N2.11 Billion for Payment of Gratuity, Death Benefits to 772 Beneficiaries

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has approved the release of over  N2,11 billion for the payment of gratuities and death benefits to state and contract staff, as well as retirees from the Local Government Service and Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs).

This according to him is in line with his administration’s commitment to the prompt payment of gratuities and other retirement benefits of Kebbi State workforce.

In a statement issued by the state Head of Service, Malami Shakari, signed by the Director of Administration, Rashidu Muhammad Bala made available to newsmen in Birinin Kebbi.

He said a total of 772 beneficiaries will receive the payments, covering gratuities and death benefits for state and contract staff, as well as personnel from the Local Government Service and LGEAs, for the period between September 16, 2025, and January 15, 2026.

The approval underscores Governor Idris’ commitment to improving the welfare of workers, retirees and the families of the deceased public servants by ensuring timely settlement of their entitlements.
