Niger DC Resolves Leadership Crisis, Affirms Shehu Agaie as State Leader

The Niger State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress ( ADC ) has resolved all lingering internal matters  regarding to the leadership crisis in the state, the party’s National Treasurer, Dr Ibrahim Ahmed Mani.
Ibrahim Mani stated this in an interview with journalists after a stakeholders meeting at ADC party secretariat held in Minna Niger state capital.
He said, ” today is a very remarkable day in the history of ADC in Niger State. We had a very fruitful and impactful meeting which has paved the way forward on issues ahead of party congresses and later, the party primaries. It has also finally resolved all the issues that have been lingering in relation to the leadership of the party in the state. Various interest groups have come together to see reason to unite, with team work and understanding for the party make progress”.
He explained that the election of former member of House of Representatives, Baba Shehu Agaie as the new state leader of the party has put an end to leadership crisis, adding that the party is now ready to conduct rancor free congresses in the Niger state.
According to him, “as a united one family, we are working towards having consensus in our congresses without necessarily going into contest except where unavoidable.  I want to assure you that there is no crisis in ADC in Niger state from now on. Of course, all the isues that have been lingering have been put to rest and we look forward to building a formidable party that would challenfe the government in power and win next year general elections”.
The National Treasurer further noted that the party remained focused while describing projections  for 2027 as brighter for ADC, he added ” we have seen a lot of purposefulness,, commitment and the zeal with which our people have come and embraced the party in Niger state towards getting a  formidable direction for the party”.
In his acceptance speech, the  new Niger state leader of the ADC, Baba Shehu Agaie promised to ensure greater successes  in all its activities while assuring cohesion and stability of the party as required in the state.
Similarly, a prominent chieftain of the party Alhaji Umar Shuaibu who was elected as Chairman of the state Leadership Coordinating Team pledged to uphold the confidence reposed in him by the members, saying that, “I considered this as an assignment in which I have to deliver because of the confidence reposed on us” he concluded.
