A total of sixty four players and eleven officials of Para Games contingent of Niger State have concluded arrangements to participate in the ten days Para National Games tournament slated for Abuja.

Addressing the players, the chairman Niger State Sports Commission, Abdullahi Danjuma Masu said that the players has undergone vigorous training to make the state proud in the Abuja 2026 National Para Games festival.

He emphasized that the team is one hundred percent prepared in times of welfare package, insurance cover, and safety to fly the flag of Niger state to victory during the competition. Calling for sacrifice, patriotism, commitment and hardwork to succeed.

According to him, the Niger state governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration have continued to support young residents of the state in all spheres of endeavors including para and able sports with equal opportunity to grow and develop their talents.

Danjuma Masu stressed the state para team will participate in six games to include; para soccer, para table tennis, para judo, para athletics, para badminton, and nikwando respectively were the state has best opportunity to thrive and not going to just participate.

The Head Coach, Ismaila Mohammed disclosed that the team is ready for the competition and assured to bring home gold medals as they are known for in the past while he commended the current leadership of the commission for its commitment in taking sports to next level in Niger State.

Also speaking, the General Captain Team Niger Muktar Ahmed assured of their unwavering determination to ensure victory in various games they are to participate in after their vigorous training in the state.
