ADA Holds NEC Meeting with Emphasis on Security and Development of the Community

Azza Development Association (ADA) has held its National Executive Council meeting with emphasis on the security challenges bedeviling the area especially herders and farmers persistent crisis in every parts of the entire community.
Presiding over the meeting on Sunday in Minna, the National Chairman of ADA, Abubakar Ibrahim Mikugi stressed the need to urgently find a lasting solutions to the continuous crisis between the two groups, through advocacy and awareness programs to ensure peaceful coexistence and stability to enhance economic development of the area.
He lamented over the deteriorating standard of education and inadequate teachers and teaching materials in our school that needs an urgent attention from the state government.
Ibrahim Mikugi charged for unity of purpose within Abawa community in diaspora, while he assured of synergy and partnership to achieve growth and development of the people and the area.
He further raised concern on the deplorable state of the roads in Azza community which has contributed negatively to the economic growth of our people deserve an urgent intervention to reverse the situation for better. Those roads include: Lapai-Gulu-Ebbo-Muye road, Gulu-Kpada-Yaba road, Gulu-Evuti-Gupa-Lambata road among others.
The chairman received the Abawa Unity Development Forum Abuja and Evuti Women Development Association Minna who both made presentations to Azza Development Association ADA at the meeting for support and partners in achieving their mandates.
The National Chairman who advised for patience and resilient while making every possible efforts towards getting the community of it quarqmare, insisted on a sustainable peace and stability no matter the differences.
Azza Development Association NEC expressed concern over the slow pace of work on the RAAMP road project covering Gulu–Evuti–Pelemi–Gupa–Lambata.
During the meeting the National Chairman of Azza, Abubakar Mikugi announced a dam project intervention secured for Azza Community through the efforts of Senator Peter Ndalikali, Senator representing Niger South Senatorial District. He explained that the proposed dam is expected to be located on the Etswan River, between the Eddo–Dale axis of Gulu/Vatsa Ward and Ebbo Gbachinku Ward, respectively.
Consequently, NEC discussed on the ongoing plan for the upcoming 2026 ADA Annual National Convention, however, received an update from the host GASE Community on preparations for the 2026 ADA Annual National Convention and called for continued cooperation, partnership and synergy among all stakeholders to ensure a successful hosting of the Convention, which is scheduled to take place at Yelwa, Gupa/Abugi Ward on the 26 December, 2026.
