BOSA President celebrates Sarkin Zazau Suleja at 34th Anniversary on Throne

The National President of the Bida Old Students Association (BOSA), Major-General Abdulmalik Halidu Giwa (rtd), has felicitated with the Sarkin Zazau Suleja, His Royal Highness Mallam Muhammadu Awal Ibrahim, as he  marks the 34th anniversary of his ascension to the revered throne.

In a goodwill message marking the historic anniversary, signed by Comrade Usman Chiji, National Publicity Secretary of BOSA issued in Minna Niger state capital.

Major-General Giwa, the Taimakon Nupe, described the occasion as a significant milestone in a remarkable royal journey defined by wisdom, statesmanship, selfless service and an enduring commitment to peace and the advancement of society.

He said the 34 years of the monarch’s reign represented a distinguished chapter in the history of the Zazau Suleja Emirate, marked by stability, peaceful coexistence, community development and the promotion of harmonious relations among the diverse peoples under his traditional authority.

According to him, the Sarkin Zazau Suleja has, over the years, remained a towering symbol of traditional leadership, whose wisdom, humility and statesmanship have continued to command respect far beyond the boundaries of his domain.

Major-General Giwa extolled the monarch’s unwavering dedication to the ideals of peace, unity, tolerance and mutual understanding, particularly his ability to bring people of different religious, ethnic and political backgrounds together in the common pursuit of peace and development.

The BOSA President noted that traditional institutions occupy a critical place in the preservation of cultural values, social cohesion and peaceful coexistence, adding that the Sarkin Zazau Suleja had demonstrated, through his long reign, the enduring relevance of responsible traditional leadership in contemporary society.

He expressed particular pride in BOSA’s association with the royal father,

Mallam Awal Ibrahim who is an old student of Government College Bida,

described as one of Nigeria’s distinguished traditional rulers, an elder statesman and a respected pillar of support to the association and Government College, Bida.

Major-General Giwa further acknowledged the monarch’s contributions to the advancement of education, community development and human relations, stressing that his counsel, experience and commitment to the wellbeing of the people had continued to inspire generations.

He said the anniversary was therefore not merely a commemoration of 34 years on the throne, but an occasion to celebrate a legacy of service, wisdom, dignity and commitment to humanity.

The National President of BOSA prayed Almighty Allah to continue to preserve His Royal Highness in sound health and grant him many more years of wisdom, strength and fulfilment in the service of God, humanity and the people entrusted to his traditional leadership.

He also wished the Sarkin Zazau Suleja continued peace, divine guidance and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
