HIJJ GAZETTE HONOURS JIGAWA STATE GOVERNMENT FOR PILGRIMS WELFARE PACKAGES

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has been officially recognized by the Hajj Gazette as the premier state in Nigeria for securing accommodation in close proximity to the Holy Ka’aba during the 2026 Hajj operation.

In a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Habibu Yusuf Adamu said the award was presented at the Board headquarters in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital by the representive ọf Hajj Gazette’s dedicated committee, Malam Awwal Ahmed Umar.

Following the comprehensive survey and statistical analysis, on-site verification, and interviews with pilgrims, the committee confirmed that Jigawa State provided some of the closest lodging to the Haram, ensuring maximum comfort and convenience for its contingent during thẹ hajj.

The report also lauded the Board for its exceptional catering services, and advised other Pilgrims Welfare Board in Nigeria to emulate this laudable gesture to achieve maximum results.

Director General Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo FCFA NFI, expressed deep gratitude ọver thẹ recognition emphasizing that the achievement is a testament to the Board’s open-door policy and commitment to accountabilit, transparency and good governance inline with thẹ policy thrust of Governor Umar Namadi led administration.

Thẹ Director General however attributed most ọf the successes recorded to thẹ support ọf the Jigawa state Government, his abled staff ọf the Board as well as the  understanding ọf Pilgrims from the state.

He reiterated that the agency remains comitted to providing premium services devoid of corrupt tendencies, whilẹ assuring that Jigawa State will continue to prioritize the welfare of its pilgrims in future Hajj operations.
