Nigeria IMAMS Embarks on National Prayers to Overcome Challenges

The Association of Nigeria IMAMS has hosted the Muslim Ummah to the
National Congregational Prayers to enhanced National Peace, Unity and Divine Guidance in Niger state and the country at large.

The Special Guest of Honour at the event, Governor Muhammad Umar Bago represented by the deputy governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba appreciate the Ulamas for the foresight and wisdom from God Almighty to initiate the prayer session which took place at Central

He maintained that the powers of prayers is unquantifiable calling on the Christian body to emulate this kind of prayer session, while appreciating the theme: National Peace, Unity and Divine Guidance, adding that unity, security, peace and good governance are the major factors that can bind the country.

In his remarks, the National President of the Association of Nigeria Imams Sheikh Iman Muhammad Nasir Adam represented by his vice Sheikh Mohammed Mustapha applauded the forum for embarking on this prayer session after a long period of calamities that befalls the nation, prayed God Almighty to accept their prayers.

The National Secretary of the Association, Doctor Imam Umar Farooq Abdullahi noted that the gathering was aimed to supplicate to Allah seeking the guidance, intervention of the tragedy that befalls the country over the years without solution.

Imam Umar Farooq added that insecurity, kidnapping, insurgency, kidnapping and other social vices shall soon be a thing of the past with the national prayer session led by the Association of Nigeria Imams.

In his remarks, the Niger State Chairman
Imam Forum and Chief Imam of Bida, Liman Adamu Yakatun said the
congregational prayers session was aimed at God intervention in the country’s challenges.

The Niger State speaker of the state assembly, Abdulmalik Sarkin-Daji was chairman of the event while the chairman of Niger state traditional rulers and Etsu Nupe Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar represented by the Wambai Nupe, Engineer Abdullahi Ndagi Aliyu.

The participants cut across States to include; Sokoto, Katsina, Jigawa and the host Niger State with the highest Ulamas among others.
