10 Persons Killed In a Fatal Trailer Accident In Niger State

Ten persons have been killed in a fatal road accident involving a trailer at Badeggi in Katcha Local Government Area of Niger state.

The trailer driver was said to be heading to Lagos state from the Northern region when the accident happened due to bad nature of the Badeggi-Bida road that had became a death trap for motorist’s plying the area.

Reports revealed that the Chairman of Bida Local Government Area, Alhaji Usman Mohammed Monko had organized a funeral for the deceased person’s at the Abdulrahman Bin Auf Juma’at Mosque Bida, which was led by the Chief Imam, Malam Hassan Taye.

Speaking after the funeral prayer, Alhaji Usman Monko described the accident as painful and prayed Allah to forgive the deceased and grant the briefed families the patient to bear the irreparable loss.

He however appealed for maximum caution on the part of motorist’s especially tanker driver’s plying the road to avoid accidents and safeguard lives and properties.

In a separate interviews on the state of Bida Badeggi Lapai road, expressed sadness and appealed to the Federal Government to either embark on the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the road or to close it down completely to ameliorate the sufferings of its people.
