Niger Planning Commission Tasks MDAs On Strict Compliance with Budget to Ensure Completion of Ongoing Projects

‎Niger State Planning Commission has called on the implementing ministries departments and agencies MDA’S to strictly adhere to the guidelines in completing all budget templates and ensure timely return of the corrected version of their proposals.

‎The Commissioner and Deputy Chairman Niger state planning commission Mustapha Ndajiwo made this known at the twenty twenty seven bilateral budget discussions with MDA’S held at the conference hall of Ministry for local government  and Chieftaincy Affairs conference room in Minna.

‎

‎The Commissioner and Deputy Chairman NSPC who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Hajiya Aishetu Teni Usman emphasised that the discussion should not be viewed as a mere exercise but be regarded as an opportunity to allocate scarce public resources to achieve the greatest positive outcome for the citizens.

‎

‎Hajiya Aishetu Usman While declaring the event open stressed the  need for realistic  result oriented budget and ensure that every expenditure demonstrates clear value for money, contributing meaningfully to the New Niger Agenda being supported by credible implementation plans, projects and programs requested by stakeholders during the just concluded stakeholders

‎

‎The Permanent Secretary of the Government house, Hajiya Hauwa Wali called on MDA’s to avoid repeating the past experience of copy and paste in the budget, stressing the need for proper planning in order to succeed.

‎

In his remarks, the Director Budget Alhaji Umar Isah noted that the twenty twenty seven fiscal year will mark the transition to the second term of this administration and will leverage on the available resources to complete critical infrastructures that have attained appreciable level of completion

‎Representative of the Civil society Organization Umar Isah Junior in his good will message, appreciated NSPC  for the bilateral discussion, adding that the forum is a collective effort meant for the realization of the New Niger Agenda of its desired objectives.
