FUT Minna Insists on Lawful Ownership of Bosso Campus of the Institution

Federal utniversity of Technology (FUT) Minna, Niger state have clarified that the Bosso campus of the institution is lawfully acquired and permanent vested in the federal government for the Used of the university as the land acquisitions, compensation were made fully.

The Registrar of FUT Minna Mallam Danladi Mallam made the clarification in a circular released in Minna,.

He said there was a permanent acquisition and payment of N2.8 million compensation; Absence of any lease agreement; independently acquired lands and compensation to promote ownership; Extensive Federal Government capital development over 40years among others.

The circular noted that the recent correspondent from the Niger state government indicating intentions to take over the Bosso campus on the claims that the land was leased and that university was relocated to Gidan Kwano site is therefore inconsistent with the historical and legal position of the properties.

The circular maintained that the Niger state government does not poses legal ground to reclaim or takeover Bosso campus as any attempt to do So would contradict extablished legal, historical and documentary evidence.

The circular furthered explained that the university resolved to help on the Bosso campus is able furthered reinforced by a circular from National University Commision dated thirteen august twenty fourteenth which directed Vice chancellor of federal universities to ensured that the title documents relating to facilities acquired under arrangements not intended for reversion to state government and are properly secured and retained by thier respective institution’s.

The University respectfully but firmly maintained it’s ownership and will continue to utilize the Bosso campus for academic and other institutional purposes in the best interest of the students, staffs, and the federal republic of Nigeria.

According to the circular, Bosso campus is not abandoned as it’s remain an active studies and components of the university system.
