2027: Governor Bago Picks APC Forms to Contest for Second Term

The Niger state Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has purchased nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the second term Governorship come 2027 general elections.
The form was obtained for the Governor by groups of farmers across the 25 Local Government Areas to re-contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The leader of the group who is also the Chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria , Niger State Chapter and Kusodu Nupe, Muhammad Manko Abubakar presented the forms to the Governor.
“Farmers in Niger State met and deemed it necessary to purchase the form for the Governor because of his immense support to farmers across the state”.
According to him, “since the coming of his administration, farmers have felt his impact through the agricultural transformation. He has shown exemplary leadership and lived up to expectations as a farmer”.
He explained that the state presently has over 2.7 million farmers and each of them will support and vote for him in the next year’s general elections.
While receiving the forms, governor Bago appreciated the farmer groups for the gesture and acknowledged their immense contribution not only to the stability of Niger State and Nigeria, but the whole of West Africa.
Governor Bago however, thanked the farmers for their continuous support to his administration and promised to always support them to achieve the desired goals.
According to the governor, “Despite the challenges facing the country in terms of agriculture, our administration remain committed towards agricultural development.
“Let me use this opportunity to call on other farmers to persevere as the State gets ready for the next farming season.”
