Gov. Idris Unveils Tinubu/Kaura ‘City Boy Movement’ Campaign Office in Kebbi

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has unveiled the Tinubu/Kaura ‘City Boy Movement’ Campaign Office in Birnin Kebbi, charging members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation towards victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

the Governor unveiled the office in Birnin Kebbi, describing it as a strategic centre for advocacy, mobilisation and coordination of campaign activities in support of the APC and its candidates at the national and state levels.

Represented by the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, Governor Idris commended the initiative and assured the movement of the Government’s support.

“This is very good work, and we are going to work with you to ensure success in the forthcoming general election.”

He urged APC supporters across the state to remain united, committed and focused on mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC administration in Kebbi State.

The Governor also called on party members to take the campaign to the grassroots, engage with the people and communicate the achievements and programmes of the APC administration.

Speaking at the occasion, the State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Alhaji Anas Nasir Idris, said the unveiling was aimed at seeking the blessings and support of political stakeholders while formally commencing the movement’s mobilisation activities across the state.

He said the movement was prepared to strengthen its campaign structure down to the Local Government Areas and promote the candidature and programmes of APC candidates at both the national and state levels.

“We are ready to strengthen our campaign strategies down to the Local Government Areas and promote all APC candidates across the state and at the national level,” he said.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, commended the coordinator and members of the movement for the initiative.

He urged members to remain committed to the mobilisation efforts and continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris towards victory in the 2027 general elections.

The Chairman also announced a ₦50 million donation on behalf of stakeholders present at the occasion in support of the movement’s activities.

The event was attended by prominent government officials, APC leaders and political stakeholders, including the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida; former Rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Dr. Usman Tunga; Acting State Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Aminu Mundi Angie; political leader, Alhaji Buro Idris; Accountant-General of the State, Alhaji Amiru Bello; and other dignitaries.

The unveiling marks another step towards strengthening the APC’s grassroots mobilisation and campaign structures across Kebbi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
