Niger APC Sets Up Reconciliatory Committee to Reconcile Aggrieved Members

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has approved the setting up of a reconciliation committee to reconcile aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress APC in the just concluded primary elections in the state.

The State Chairman of the party Alhaji Aminu Musa  Bobi stated this in an interview with journalists in Minna, attributed the successful conduct of APC primaries in the state to the visionary leadership of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.

Alhaji Aminu Musa Bobi explained that the decision to approved the setting up of the committee by Governor Umar Bago is to ensure that the party remain intact and formidable in its quest to maintain its leadership role as the most efficient and effective political party in Niger state and Nigeria.

According to him, it will also afford them the opportunity to showcase the developmental stride of Governor Bago in infrastructural development, education, health, urban renewal, women and youth development, rural transformation and good governance among others as highlighted in the “New Niger Agenda”.

On the recent judgement by Federal High Court that allows those who that lost primary elections to defect to other political parties and still be substituted as candidates to participate in the 2027 general elections the Niger state, the APC Chairman described the move as a welcomed development, insisting that members of APC will not defect to other political parties that are not even stable.

He stressed that the APC will benefit from such judgement, saying that the inability of Africa Democratic Congress to conduct its primaries in Niger state yesterday had benefitted the APC as some ADC members have started defecting to the ruling APC.
