Niger Gov’t Receives Minister for Industry, Trade, & Investment in Minna

The Federal Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment Senator John Owan Enoh has concluded plans to Visit Niger State for Strategic Engagement on SME Growth and Export Development today Friday 1st May 2026.
This is contained in a statement issued by Obed Nuhu Nana the Commissioner of Information and Orientation, Niger State.
The Minister of State is in the State as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen small-scale industries, promote non-oil exports, and deepen industrial development across the country.
According to Obed, the visit will feature strategic engagements with operators of small and medium-scale enterprises, commodity exporters, and key stakeholders in the industrial and investment sector, with particular focus on shea butter production, value addition, processing, and export opportunities.
As part of the itinerary, the Minister will hold high-level meetings with officials of the Niger State Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, as well as agencies under the Ministry’s supervision, to discuss collaborative frameworks aimed at boosting industrial productivity, enterprise development, and investment promotion within the State.
He added that the visit is also expected to further reinforce Niger State’s growing profile as a hub for agro-processing, trade, and export-oriented economic activities under the development-driven leadership of His Excellency, the Farmer Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago.
In addition, the Minister will also join in receiving the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, during her scheduled engagement in the State tomorrow 2nd May 2026.
The visit underscores the commitment of both the National and Subnational Governments to advancing inclusive economic growth, empowering local industries, and creating sustainable opportunities for entrepreneurs and exporters.
