Niger State Pension Board Sets for for Payments of Next Batch of Gratuity, Death Gratuity

The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Niger State Pension Board, Minna, Alhaji Nasiru Sa’idu Namaska has made adequate preparations for the continuation of the payment of retirement benefits in the state.
This contained in a statement he issued in Minna, said this was in line with the directives and commitment earlier made by the Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, to retirees.
Director General, Alhaji Nasiru Sa’idu Namaska, stated that the next batch of payments will cover Batch 13 of State Government retirees, Batch 2 of State Government death gratuities, Batch 4 of Local Government gratuities and Batch 1 of Local Government death gratuities for the next of kin of deceased beneficiaries.
According to him, the modality for the payments remains the issuance of cheques to all verified pensioners whose files have been thoroughly vetted and captured, following all necessary processes.
The list of beneficiaries for the next batch will be displayed at the Board’s headquarters, while soft copies will also be made available.
The designated centres for the payment of local government gratuities and death gratuities are Minna, Bida and Kontagora. Starting from Wednesday 2 September 2026.
The director general advised all retirees to remain patient and not to panic, assuring them that the payment process is progressing as planned.
He also warned pensioners to shun fraudulent individuals who may call or contact them under the guise of helping them to be captured in the next batch of payments in exchange for a fee. He urged retirees to seek accurate and adequate information directly from the Niger State Pension Board and avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
