Suspected Terrorists Kill Six People, Raided Communities in Niger State

Suspected bandits in their numbers have killed no fewer than six people while many houses were burnt down during an attack at Feyi community of Borgu local government area of the Niger state.

It was reliably gathered that the criminals came in to the community raiding on many motorcycles with their sophisticated weapons, threatening and shooting sporadically to scare the villagers of any attempts to resist operations.

Sources noted that the operations started in the early hours of Friday when they attackers arrived Feyi village killing six persons, where they carry out their criminal activities freely without security presence to challenge them.

The terrorists later moved to other communities identified as Tungan Makeri and Nkpaso villages respectively, both in Konkoso Ward of Borgu local government area also in the early hours of Saturday.

According to reports, they set the police station ablaze but later took their heels upon hearing the sound of a helicopter moving towards the direction after successfully carried out their neferous activities.

It was gathered that the people in those affected communities and nearby villages have left their ancestral homes for safety, calling on the governments at all levels to as a matter of urgency come to their aide to safeguard them from Incessant attacks

Sources who spoke on condition of the revealed that while on the run for safety, nobody can ascertain the proper number of casualties or numbers of abducted victims currently as it stands.

When contacted the Niger State Command, Police Public Relations Officer PPRO SP Wasiu Abiodun could not be reached for confirmation as at the time of filing this report.
