Terrorits kill 5, Sets Ablaze community as many abducted in Niger State

Terrorits have reportedly killed five persons and set ablaze Baga community within Erena district in Shiroro local government of Niger state .

It was reliably gathered that  Baga community was attacked by the terrorists on Tuesday morning leading to the flee of villagers who have abandoned their houses.

A resident of the area who Spoke on condition of anonymity said, ” over 160 terrorists invaded Baga early this morning and have been burning houses using explosives. As at now this evening, Baga community is on fire with rising thick smoke “.

Our reporter also gathered that that at least eight vigilantes have been injured and hospitalised while trying to to confront the terrorists but were out numbered as well due to their sophisticated weapons

Earlier, it was revealed that on Monday the terrorists had rustled several cattle from Nada village in Shiroro local government but apparently lost their route before finding themselves in Baga community before the attack.

Consequently, sources told our Correspondent that security agencies have mobilised to the area, although the Niger state police command is yet to issue statement on the development as at the time of filing this report
