Labour Leaders Applauds Kebbi Gov. On Developmental Strides

The Pioneer President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Hassan Sunmonu, has applauded Governor of Kebbi State Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris for what he described as remarkable developmental strides across the state.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kebbi State, Ahmed Idris in a statement issued, said that Comrade Sunmonu made this statement during a Ramadan Iftar hosted by Governor at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
He noted that the Governor, a former Labour leader, has demonstrated true Comeradship by executing meaningful capital projects that directly impact the lives of the people of Kebbi State.
He described Governor Idris’s leadership style as inclusive and people oriented, adding that his administration has positively transformed the political and developmental landscape of the state.
“We are not surprised by the way you have developed the state capital and transformed it remarkably. Your record at the NLC and NUT clearly showed your capacity to achieve even more. You have not disappoint us, and we are strongly behind you,” he said.
“Within this short period, you have made the entire Labour family across the nation proud.” he stated.
In his response, Governor Comrade Dr.Nasir Idris expressed appreciation to the Pioneer and current leadership of the NLC for their support and joining him at the Ramadan Iftar at Government House Birnin Kebbi.
The Governor stated that his administration has embarked on numerous capital projects across the 21 Local Government Area of the state,
emphasized his administration’s commitment to worker’s welfare.
He highlighted key achievements, including the completion of ultra modern Secretariat named after President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, recently commissioned, reconstruction of the central motor park, expansion of road networks, construction of mega schools, general hospitals, primary healthcare centres and other critical infrastructure.
Highlights of the event was the presentation of a book authored by Comrade Hassan Sunmonu to Governor Idris.
Those in attendance included the current President of Nigerian labour congress, Comrade Jeo Ajore, National executive members,former NLC presidents, state executive members of the Congress, SSG, commissioners HOS and Permanent Secretaries
