Governor Bago Appoints New Commissioners-Designate, SAs

Following the recent political activities that have started to indicate unfavourable to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Niger state.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has approved the appointment of six Commissioners-Designate, subject to confirmation by the State House of Assembly.

The appointees are: Lucky Barau, Gurara Local Government Area,  Isah Wakili, Bosso Local Government Area,  Dr. Isah Adamu, Kontagora Local Government Area,  Emmanuel Alamu, Magama Local Government Area, Shuaibu Saidu Kaboji, Mashegu Local Government Area and Mohammed Danladi Garba, Borgu Local Government Area.

This is contained in a statement issued by Alhaji Abubakar Usman, Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG) further disclosed that Governor Bago also approved the appointment of Alhaji Nma Kolo as Chief Political Adviser, Yahaya Emilugi, Yusuf Tagwai and Salman Yusuf were named Special Advisers on Political Matters for Zones A, B and C respectively.

The SSG stated that the appointments form part of the present administration’s efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and ensure broader representation across the State.

The Governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to apply their experience and commitment to the development of Niger State.
